_________________________________________________ Rod Cooper instrument builder, noise enthusiast and performer. Electronic It was radio shortwave transmissions and tape decks that got me started as a noise enthusiast. As a child I found getting to sleep difficult. A summer holiday job facilitated the purchase of a ghetto blaster with SW1 and SW2 settings. I used this as my sleep inducer. I made mixed tapes for quiet transmission periods. Moving to the big smoke I discovered reel to reels. Then samplers. One day during a track bounce I notice the sampler interfered with the radio signal, particularly on the AM dial. Some years later during the late nineties, I realized that hard drives and monitors created complex signals on the am dial. I build mortal coils to pick up the vast array of electromagnetic fields.
